Recommend your Easel?

My family is asking what to get ds for his 2nd bday and I was thinking an easel? I saw the Step 1 and the Crayola one they both look alike. Magnetic/dry erase on one side and chalk board on the other. Does anyone have these? Which one is better and does your 2 year old use it? Is it a better gift for when they are 2.5 yrs? Maybe a Christmas gift instead?

It's a great gift if your LO likes ot paint/draw. My DS does not and barely uses ours. DD likes it a little more. They are 3 1/2 and we got it for xmas when they were 2 1/2.

We have the melissa & doug, it has a paper roll w/ cutter built in

We have the $15 IKEA one - it's 2+ years old and still going strong!

We have the Crayola one and really like it.  My son got it for Christmas and will be 3 in April.  He loves the dry erase and chalk boards because he loves to use the eraser!

It has the chalkboard on one side, the dry erase on the other, and the roll of paper on top. Plus it seemed more sturdy than the Melissa & Doug, ha

I second the Ikea easel. For the price, you can't go wrong.
