Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some advice from some of you that have dealt with the foster system before. DH and I had our first MAPP class to foster kids yesterday and it went really well. We have been waiting for classes to start for about two months and were already super excited to jump in.
Now for the kicker. I have had some light cramping the past two weeks and was super irrationally emotional Friday night. I decided to POAS and got a BFP, much to our amazement. DH and I are both happy about it, but reserved as my only other pregnancy resulted in m/c.We played the what if game when we decided to foster and both agreed we still want to foster even in the unlikely event that we have bio kids. I just never expected them to both coincide on the same day! We are still both on board with fostering regardless of how this pregnancy ends up, but are unsure of the short term effects at this point (whether that be a bio kid and foster kid, waiting a bit, just doing respite care for a while, etc).
When do we tell our licensing worker? I would prefer to wait until we get out of the first trimester, but I don't want them to feel like we withheld information.
