Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Stimming? Or something else?

Ok. I opened a thread a few days ago without really being too clear and having done any research.

Basically, since our LO turned 7 months...we noticed at first only during dinner time in the high chair, she would suddenly jerk out her arm..almost like a salute and shutter just a little bit. She would then go back to doing what she was doing, only to do it a couple more times.

We thought it was cute and that she was just throwing a fit, which it still may be but we've noticed now that it's become more of a shutter...or shiver...like a chill when it goes up your back.

She no longer jerks her arm out but it seems sometimes when she's angry, looking outside the window...she'll go from sitting in my arms normally to shuttering. It's not a seizure..it just comes and goes.

Now i've read about her CNS catching up or even teething causing this but I just don't know. Have any moms had this experience? Today she did it more then normal.....yes yes i know..go to the pedi if i'm worried, but theirs no harm in asking.

 thanks.

  • You may want to take a video, post it to youtube and send a link so we can see it. The way you describe it, it is hard to know what you mean. However, I still don't think its a seizure like you mentioned in your previous post. Worth bringing it up to your

  • I posted on your previous thread that my LO did something similar.  I caught it on video and going to show dr at next appointment in a few weeks.  He was teething, learning to crawl and going through a big growth spurt. We haven't noticed it

  • My DD is doing the same thing. Didn't think it was something to be worried about, but will look into it further now. Please report back if you learn more.
