Cleaning aplix?

One of the cloth diapering chores I hate is removing the lint etc from the hook part of the aplix. I have tried using one hooked tab to clean the other out, also tried using the tines of fork, the point of a curved nail file and a small comb. All these things worked ok, but I am wondering if any of you have any other way to clean aplix that makes the job a little less tedious? TIA

I've heard you can also use a snappi...though no clue how well it works

I use the slicker grooming brush I have for the cat. And honestly... I've done it about twice in 2 years.

I use a seam ripper.  I just comb it through in the center between the stitching around the edges and then pull all the fuzzies out.  Works really well.
