filling a pinata

I bought a pinata for DD's birthday.  It says to fill it with 2 lbs and I think I've got it but I want to get in as much as possible.  Do you fill them to the top or do you stick the the 2 lbs recommendations? It's for about 25 kids so I want to make sure there's enough.

Re: filling a pinata

  • I've never filled a pinata, but knowing how I am, I'd make little goody bags with snacks in them anyway and give them out after the pinata so they can put their haul in the bag and the kids who got pushed and shoved out of the way still get something. But

  • I've never noticed a 'weight limit' while filling a pinata...oops.  I always just fill till it looks full.  Oh, and I always have an extra bowl set aside so that an adult can toss candy to the outside of the mob so that everybody has a chance at

  • When I did them for family we always just made them full. We also had a stash for the kids that were run over so they didn't miss out completely.
