COBRA while on disability???

Hi everyone... I work in a small company (less than 50 employees) and they recently told me I might have to go on COBRA while I'm out on disability (we have no maternity leave program).  There seems to be some disagreement among the bosses... some say legally they have to take me off of our insurance since I'm not working the min hours required for ins... some say that's not true.  I am stressing hard core over this.  I can't afford COBRA.  Anyone have any experience with this? TIA

  • I worked in a company with 50+ but we did not pay COBRA while on leave. 

    That's terrible if so, I hope someone can give you some advice here.

    My thinking is that you are still an employee of the company though regardless of if you are

  • Your company should have an agent that you can speak with directly to ask this to.  I believe most plans compute eligibility for insurance based on average hours over a 3 month rolling period, so depending on how long you are out, it shouldn't mat
