Progesterone suppository users, come in...

I use the compounded suppositories in wax. I go pee before I put in my suppository and go to bed, but the last two nights I've had to pee again afterwards, at least an hour after but usually more. When I pee, of course stuff from the suppository comes out. Is this all the progesterone, or just the wax that it is in? Should I try to hold off going to the bathroom so that I absorb it all?  I'm just nervous that I'm "wasting" the progesterone and not giving my body enough time to absorb it all.  But I really can't hold my pee for long, b/c then I can't sleep!

Sorry for the stupid question!

  • It is not a silly question. I take one three times a day and my doctor told me to wait at least 30 minutes after inserting to use the bathroom. So you should be good to go. I too always push it to an hour. I have to wear panty liners all day and night as

  • I always go before I put it in, but don't worry about the next time I go. My numbers were good last time they checked so I figure I am doing something right. By the way I have to pee all of the time. Woke up 4 times last night.

Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?

  • I think it's fine. I used them my last pregnancy (and this one) and remember feeling like I was peeing it all out, but everything worked out fine.
