How many of you ladies had trouble TTC the first time around? And how many of you had no problems TTC the first time?

    I will start we had no problems the first time around. We got pregnant on the 3rd cycle of TTC.

    Mine is kind of complicated. I believe we had problems the first time because I had a brain tumor.  Once that was removed and I was healed, we got pregnant on our first cycle of trying. Now I'm starting to think that was just luck though.
    TTC#2 since December 2010. HSG and bloodwork all good. SA results not so good. Unmedicated IUI#1 6/19/2012 - BFN

    We had no problem getting pregnant first time around.  Got pregnant my first cycle TTC!  Now, it is almost 2 years later and have had one pg which ended in a m/c.

    Did IVF for my first. Surprise miracle after that. Now doing IVF again.

    We also got pregnant easily with our first child.  We literally just talked about starting a family, were not charting and I'm certain we only "did the deed" once the week I must have been o'ing and we were pregnant the end of that month!

    5/07 - DD conceived naturally cycle #1

    8/09 - Started TTC #2
    11/10 - BFP!
    12/10 - MC (Chemical Pregnancy)
    2/11 - IUI #1 with clomid & trigger = BFN
    5/11- Switched to a Fertility Specialist, Dx with low progesterone and annovulatory, several rounds of
             clomid = BFN's
    4/12 - Exploratory Lap, Dx Stage III endo
    5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
    8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
    9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
    1/13 - Referred to an RE
    2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
    3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
    5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!
    EDD - 1/23/14

    Info in my siggy.  We tried for a long time to get pregnant with DD.  I went to an RE and got pregnant on my first cycle of femara.  This time around I am getting pregnant with fertility meds, but not staying pregnant : (

    Got pregnant first cycle TTC and had a miscarriage. Got pregnant first month trying after miscarriage and had DD. I think I waited so long to talk to my doctor this time since it was so easy the first time. Just kept expecting it to happen.

    No problems first time, got pg 1st month we tried.  But I had only been off bc for about 2 months and I'm convinced that had something to do with it.  I never went back on bc after DS was born and I had my thyroid removed and now I'm having noth

    No troubles for me getting pregnant with my two boys. However, that was with my ex husband. Now it just isn't happening. It's not even my current dh's issues, so it's frustrating. We did get pregnant during IVF, but miscarried.
    TTC #3 (#1 for DH) since September 2011. DX: Unexplained infertility with possible cervical factor. May 2012 did clomid with IUI - BFN August 2012 IUI #2 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN September 2012 IUI #3 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN October 2012 IUI #4 w/ follistim/letrozole - BFN November/December 2012 IVF/ICSI #1 Retrieved 12 eggs, 8 fertilized. Transferred 1 beautiful embryo and 5 made it to freeze. Got my BFP! January 2013 u/s showed empty gestational sac. FET cycle April 2013.  Transferred 2 5 day embryos.  BFP!!!!!  2 heartbeats!!!!  EDD:  12/27/13

    Both DDs were bfps the second cycle of trying. We are now on cycle 17 ttc our third with a few months of not trying to prevent before that. Meds seem to be improving ovulation so hoping that elusive bfp shows up soon

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    It took us 2 years to conceive DS. We started seeing an RE after 1.5 years and it took 3 cycles clomid and iui. This time we're fast approaching the 3 year mark. We only started with our RE in October as we had moved provinces and it took awhile to fin

    First pregnancy - DS 01-Apr-09;
    3rd cycle Clomid/IUI after 2 years TTC
    TTC #2 since ~June 2010
    IUI #1 & 2 - Clomid/IUI - BFN
    IUI #3 &4 - Gonal-F/Ovidrel and IUI -- BFN
    IUI #5 - Gonal-F/Ovidrel and IUI -- BFP!!
    EDD: March 22, 2013
    It's triplets!!

    I had a miscarriage a few years before DS, but with both of those pregnancies I conceived on the first cycle of trying.  Then three losses in a row.  So, our problem, was not getting pregnant, it was staying pregnant.  Now that one of my

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    I had IF the first time around! Same issues but this time around SO has issues as well!

    Got my BFP with DD on cycle #10. At the time I attributed it to coming off of birth control and not knowing much about my cycles. I wasn't charting or using OPK's. Now, I think we just got one really lucky egg.

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1

    After 22 cycles, I got pregnant with our son. it was the same month we planned to contact an RE. For LO #2, it's been 29 cycles already.

    Took me 2years to get pg with DD but part of this I think was timing since I had long cycles after going off OCPs and both ex and I worked rotating shifts. Have been trying for a couple of months now with no luck.
