Pump Envy

Angst, I get pump envy sometimes. I lurk the breastfeeding board a lot, to get information about stuff. I get such pump envy when people casually mention how they get like 4-5oz after pumping after a feed first thing in the morning. I have had to wake myself up in the middle of the night to do an extra pump to ensure I have enough to supplement Hannah her 3-4 oz a day to make sure she gains appropriate weight. Oh well.... we can't have it all.

I hear ya! I am lucky if I get 3 oz at a pumping session! It is so frustrating...

I'm the same way. I get 23oz after the first feeding then I'm lucky to get 1oz every other pumping session. I can't keep up and we've been supplementing with formula, which we've been doing since the night he was born anyway I was hoping to get away from

Oh my goodness, YES! The most I've ever gotten in a day is 12 oz and I need 50 to 60 oz for my boys. I've cried so much over pumping and supply. I hate it!

I wasn't able to pump 4 oz until E was 4 months. But that's instead of a feed, not after a feed. I still get jealous too though. I struggle every day to pump enough.

Right now, I measure my pumps in ml   If I get 35-50 ml, I feel accomplished.  I can't build up a supply at all.

I am in the same place! I only pump 1/2 of what she needs at daycare and pumped all of maternity leave and never got a stash because I had to use the milk to supplement.

I get 1-2 ounces after her first morning feed IF she slept all night.
