ADOS score?

My son got an ADOS administered a year ago, and it was just readministered a few weeks ago as part of us seeking a second opinion on his Autism diagnosis. He more recently scored a 9 (I don't know what his score was a year ago). I know the cut off for ASD is 7 and above. But his score his so low, do kids that typically score that low eventually lose their diagnosis? Or will it become more apparent as he gets older? His new developmental pedi feels his ASD is so mild that actually Apraxia is his primary issue.
