16 months and still no period?

DS is almost 16 months old and I'm still going real strong with BF. I have still not gotten my period. Not even a speck. Lol 
How long did you go with no period? I BF my DD 13 years ago until she was 2 but I cannot for the life of me remember when I got it back. 
We are TTC and have been since DS was 12 months. I'm fine with just seeing how it goes but DH wants them close in age. When do you think I'll get it back? When he finally weans? Just wondering, thanks for your answers :

My son self weaned at 14 months and it was only after that did I ovulate. I never got a period because I got pregnant immediately. I guess we caught the first egg. Lol. You may be the type of person like me that needs to wean

DD was a frequent nurser, even at 16mo.  That's around the time I got my period back.

I bf for 19 months with no period.  We got pregnant (trying) with #2 at maybe 17 or 18 months.  So, it's possible to get pregnant still!  We might have just caught the first cycle!  I hope I go another two years minus the cycle agai

I nursed DD until almost 14 months and it wasn't until I weaned that AF came back.  I didn't TTC while nursing but got pregnant after my first cycle, miscarried at 5w, then got pregnant again the following month.

With Callum I ovulated after nightweaning him around 16 months and got pregnant right away so no period.  With Eleanor I just got my period back around 20 months?

There's no way to know for sure when it will happen!

I went from May '07 until August '12 with no period. I was nursing DS1 (though weaning him slowly in hopes of ovulation/getting my period back), when I got pregnant with DS2 in January of '10. And then I got my period about a month after I night weaned
