As some of you know i had my first IUI last Wednesday. At the appointment the nurse said that the dr wanted me to come back in two weeks for blood work to see how my body reacted to the ovidril. I said to her that my period us due before that but she insisted that i needed to come back in two weeks..myhusband even heard her and remembers specifically two weeks. Just now i happened to check my paperwork and i was apparently suppose to go back this Wednesday the 13th for my beta. I'm do mad at myself and the nurse. Have i just wasted this cycle? Could that bloodwork have helped in deciding what meds i needed for the next cycle etc? Also i think i can almost feel my period coming...this is not fair !

    Oh no!  I am so sorry there was a mix-up!  I'm sure you are already planning on it, but I assume you are going to call your RE tomorrow and figure out what he/she wants you to do?

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    My first iui my RE had me have bloodwork done at 7dpiui to check progesterone levels. To make sure I had ovulated and to make sure they were at a level that could sustain a pregnancy. There is no way that a week after iui they would be doing betas for pre

    DX: Low AMH 1.79 Mildly elevated FSH 9.9

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1

    Yes, I am fairly sure there is no way a beta could confirm pregnancy at only 1 week post IUI and I bet Wednesday's appt was to check progesterone because if the level is low, they can give you supplements.  Don't freak out.  Call today and ma

    Ok...you guys are so nice! i called them and was able to go in and get the bloodwork for progesterone level. All that worrying for nothing! Now the next hurdle is....my period is due Monday hopefully it doesn't come. Did anyone have any cramping at the ti
