Short naps (1hr) on one nap?

It's been about 5wks since we moved DD to one nap due to nap resistance etc. At daycare she'll do a solid 2hrs I guess she's more tired etc. At home we get 1 hour plus and rarely 2 hours. She did lengthen night sleep to 11hrs which is nice but I was hoping for regular 2 hour naps to get her through a long day from her 5:30 am wake up to her already early 6:30 bedtime. I put her down between 11:30/12 because she is up for so long.  I struggled with short naps for so long that I'm so tired they are going back now.

  • Daycare naps at 12:00 (so even later but that is because of all the other kids etc). I have tried 11am and 12pm and nothing seems to be the magic great nap window.
  • When DD went to one nap they were short for a while.  We just pushed it back and now she sleeps longer.  Also, since it's getting nice we try and do an outside activity or go somewhere that she can run around on the weekends and that helps. &nbs
  • DD has been sick this week and has woken up after an hour a couple of times. She will go back down if I just tuck her back in, start her seahorse over and rub her back (like I do at night if she wakes up). Have you tried just putting her back down again?

  • Thanks.  Rarely she will go back to sleep -- sometimes I hear peeps but she isn't actually awake and occasionally she poops.  Generally she doesn't go back to sleep either in the am or at nap time unless she really needs the sleep.  I leave
