Not exactly BR but sort of... MIL & wedding related

So my MIL is getting married this summer in CA (we live in WA) and my DDs will be flower girls and DH will be involved with the ceremony as well.  MIL bought the girls Christmas dresses this Christmas and she would like them to wear them in the ceremony. (they are just green with black lacy dots)  She also has purchased DH some pants, shirt and a black vest to wear. (she also bought DS a cute little sweater vest that will coordinate as well)

I had already been looking around to purchase something new to wear since I will still be nursing DS this summer and will need something appropriate to wear.  Then MIL sent me an email to me and my SIL saying that she wasn't going to try and buy us something to wear, but will be sending a $60.00 gift card for us to be able to try stuff on if we would like.  

Now I am confused and not sure if she is just trying to be nice and help with money since she knows that our budget is tight or if she intends for some kind of role for me to play?  Should I try to find something that is coordinating or matching to the rest of my family or find something that I would normally wear?  Finding something at all is proving to be difficult since there isn't a whole lot of options when it comes to nursing dresses to begin with (in my size) and now trying to find something that will go with the rest of the family, yet not looking like part of the wedding party is just awkward. 

I guess I just don't know what to do or how to ask without being offensive or assuming anything.  Maybe I am just thinking too much in to this.  Any advice?

You said the dresses are green and black.  I would just find a black dress and be done with it.

Thanks all.  I just emailed her to see if she was just trying to help out financially or if there was something specific she wanted me to wear or have and she said she was just helping out financially.  So that's cool.  I don't know why

If you're open to black with long sleeves, saw a nursing dress at Motherhood for about 25 ...redline sale. But doubt that would work for a wedding, esp being a summer wedding.

Many non nursing dresses can be used while nursing. Try Victoria's Secrets multi way dress and tie it in a way that you could pop a boob out. Comes in many colours and you can wear it when your no longer nursing.
