Vbac Hopeful - Lurker

Had out 1st apt yesterday for baby #2.  All is well, right on track and strong heartbeat.  Midwife thinks I'm a great canidate for a VBAC this time.  I was so excited to hear that and she was super posative.  Suggested I look into hypno birthing and maybe a doula.

 

DD was enduced 6 days after her due date and I labored for 32 hours.  After failing to progress past 6cms in 2 hours with no change they took her by c-section.  Midwife advised that guidelines for dialation have/are changing and they are not as strict on the 1cm for every hour to 2 hours so today they may have let me labor longer.

 

I'm not really a canidate for most of the enduction drugs now b/c of the cs but she said their our other herbal remedies we can try at weeks to get the ball rolling if I'm still high and tight.  Big relief & super stoked I might be a VBAC this time.

    Glad your appointment went well!  I agree that a doula is a good idea.
