For those of you with 2 or more children I heard that your second baby is usually bigger then your first baby? (baby weight that is) Was this true for you?

Yes, but I'm probably not a good example. I had PPROM with my DD at 35 weeks so I had a peanut first and then I had my son at 41 weeks and he was 9lb 1oz and has consistently been much larger than his sister at the same ages - more than double at

I can't compare at birth b/c DS1 was born at 33 weeks but DS2 is huge, they have been in the same size clothing since he was 10 months.  He is a hair taller and weighs more than DS1 and people have thought they were twins for a long time.

Mine are both girls.  #2 was 4 oz. heavier than #1.  Both were born at 39 weeks and 2 days.  Labor/delivery #2 was much faster and easier than #1 (5 hours vs. 23 hours).  Both were vaginal.

Not true for me. I was induced at 39w with both girls due to GD. DD1 was 6lbs 11 oz at 39w2d, DD2 was 6lbs even at 39w.

My births were pretty similar, just DD2's was faster. With DD1, induction was 56 hours start to finish, 38 hours in labor, 20

Mine were almost exactly the same.  DD was 7 lbs 15 oz and DS was 8 lbs 0.5 oz.  So he was bigger, but barely.  Both were born a few days before their due dates (4 days before for DD, 3 days before for DS), so they were actually remarkably

DS1: 6 lb 12 oz natural birth at 38 weeks

DD: 8 lb 10 oz natural birth at 39 weeks 6 days

DS2: 8 lb 5 oz induced (minimal pitocin and water broken by doctor) at 38 weeks 1 day

 true for me..its weird. Aj was 6lbs 13oz and he was born 4 days past my due date. Dante was 7lbs 14oz. He was a week early but i gained more with Aj.  Both were easy quick deliveries though Dante was a little quicker.

Only by a few ounces. Both my kids were 8 pounds and some change, with DD being just a smidge bigger.

True for me.  Both of my babies were born at 40w3d.  DD my first was 7lb15oz, 21inches long.  DS was 8lb12oz and 20.5 inches long.  So my second was a little shorter, but almost a full pound bigger.

Not so far. DS1 - 7lb11oz at birth and 95th percentile all through infancy. DS2 - 6lbs14oz at birth and 50th percentile so far.

not true for me. DD1 9lbs 6oz c/sect- induction due to hypertension, DD2 8lbs 11oz VBAC went into labor on my own.  both girls born 39w 5d.

Not for me, but I had a boy then a girl. There was almost a pound difference.

My son was born at 40w0d and weighed 8 lbs 0 oz.

My daughter was born at 39w6d and weighed 7 lbs 1 oz.

Yes, but my first was born at 37 weeks and I didn't have GD.  My second was born at 39 weeks and I had GD.

DD1 was 6lbs6oz, natural vaginal birth at 38w3d.  Total labor was 3-1/2hrs.

DD2 was 6lbs14oz, c-section due to breech at 39w.

DD3 measured 20% larger than either big sister at a/s.  We'll see how big she ends up being.

It was not true for me. I had an 8lb, 9oz boy, a week late, and then a 6lb, 14oz girl, 2 days early. I didn't even tear with her. It was glorious.

DD1 was 8lbs 6ozs, induced at 41w1d, 15 hours of labor (3.5 pushing).  DD2 was 8lbs 10ozs, induced at 40w (failed NST - cord was wrapped around her neck twice), 4 hours of labor (20 minutes of pushing).

DS1 was PPROM in my 35th week.  He was 6lbs.  Pretty big for that gestation.  12 hours start to finish.  DS2 was 9lbs 4 oz at 39 weeks.  My induction was started with breaking my water.  40 min start to finish.

Not true at all for me as I had GD for #2.  My oldest was 8.7lbs and my youngest was 7.1lbs.  I definitely think most women show sooner when pregnant a second/+ pregnancy though.

Yes, the second baby was heavier...just by 9 ounces. Both girls, second one was two days late. Same delivery vaginal.

Yes, but he was also born 4 days later than DS1. DS1 was born at 38w3d and was 7 lbs 11oz. DS2 was born at 39w and was 8 lbs 1oz, so 6oz difference.
