Anybody else doing a "leprechaun"?

I saw some ideas on Pinterest and thought it would be fun to start a leprechaun tradition.  The Elf on the Shelf seemed to be all the rage at Christmas, but I don't think I could keep up with doing that for a whole month!  The leprechaun just comes the night before St. Patrick's Day!  I have Old Navy $5 St. Patty's Day tshirts and $1 gold coins for both boys, a pair of Gymboree undies with green trucks full of shamrocks for my 3 yo who just finished potty training last month, and a pair of Old Navy shamrock socks for my very soon to be 1 yo.

If you are doing a leprechaun, what are you going to do?

  • I haven't thought about it but my DH's aunt used to put out a trail of glitter to mark the leprechaun's tracks for her kids.  Might be fun!

  • I had never heard of the "leprechaun" tradition until this year. Personally, I think it's a bit overkill.
