Reflux Mamas

Are any of your LO's still on reflux meds?  A has been on 15mg of Prevacid for over a year.  We have tried to ween several times with no luck.  I started her on half doses last Monday (as per pedi).  She then got the stomach virus and was puking so I really couldn't tell if there was a change in her behavior.  

On Friday of last week I stopped her meds completely, still recovering from the virus I didn't notice a difference until this Sunday.  She seemed a little cranky, but at night she began screaming uncontrollably when we put her to bed...for like an hour.  This has continued throughout the week, and last night she was up a million times...screaming.  

Clearly, I'm going to call the pedi today but I wanted to know if any of your LO's have gone through similar symptoms.  All of her Dr.'s make it seem like she should have grown out of this by now...but I don't think so.

Lo has been off her meds for a couple months now. MH has a cousin who was never able to come off them. I would continue the medicine if it helps.

Sorry I'm not much help -- G was a reflux baby but it went away around 9 months and we stopped meds. GL to you.

Thanks!  I was so hoping to be off these meds, but I guess she isn't ready.  :-(  I already started her meds up this morning...the past few days have just been out of control!!

I'm no help either. L had severe reflux, but we were able to wean him at 12 months. My DD also had reflux and we weren't able to wean her until 14 months.

We are still on it. I'm too nervous to quit it, but could it be teething and just unrelated?
