Cord around neck

Currently 37w & 5 days and I am expecting my second child. Today I went for my growth U/S and checkup and was assured during the ultrasound everything was looking great. Then when my dr came in she informed me his cord was around his neck and had been since my 4d in January. I was reassured that I should worry and they would do U/S every week to make sure and I'm to monitor the kicks 2x a day. Me, being a "worry wart" , I have stressed all day long! I heard later today that it is in fact very common and I shouldn't worry, but I cant help but too! Anyone have any positive experiences or feedback for me????

Good news was that I was also dilated to 1cm, which I didn't think and she said she didn't feel my plug so I must have lost it.......then tonight, It magically appeared as I went to the bathroom...so I know Ive lost it now. Hopefully things are about to take place soon!

So sorry to hear...that must be so stressful!!

I'm not sure how long DS's cord was around his neck, but he was born with it wrapped around at least once.
