I have been on the IF board for a year now. I am not computer savvy, so I haven't been able to figure out the siggy thing very well. 

My story:

I am 37, hubby is 35. I have tubal blockages. I am now discovering/realizing there may be egg quality issues. My first IVF was last year. We had 8 retrieved, 7 initially fertilized. We had to do an FET because the RE went through my uterus to reach the ovaries & he felt I needed recovery time. He froze them on day 1. Looking back now, I question a lot of his decisions. I am trying to not beat myself up too much. I was so new to this whole process! The FET was a couple of months later. I only had 1 make it to transfer. I don't know if it was due to egg quality or the thawing process. I found a new clinic 90 minutes away from me. For IVF #2, we only got 3 eggs: 1 fertilized, but never made it to transfer. The RE wanted to try the EPP, thinking I may have been over suppressed. With the 3rd one, we got 12 eggs. 8 were mature, 5 fertilized. We transferred 2. Out of the other 3, only one made it to ice. I am beyond sad, lost, broken, and confused. My WTF appt. is this Friday. I am considering a 3rd clinic/opinion, but my husband doesn't agree. I am battling with the idea of stopping & trying to heal, or to keep trying. With the last one I felt SO positive. I just don't know where to go from here.

    You may remember we go to the same clinic but I never cycled their with my OEs. Their stats on SART just aren't good on so many levels. They have a 15% success rate for FET vs a 35% national rate. For your age group, the live birth rate is 26% vs 31% n

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    IVF #2 Lucky November 2011 - ER 11/25/2011 - 15 eggs!, 13 mature, 10 fertilized with isci - 7 made it to transfer! Transferred 1 - 8 cell and 2 - 7 cell. BFP!!!!
    1st U/S - Twins! 2nd U/S - 3 heartbeats!!! - HOLY COW!!!

    2 babies born on 3/27/12 and lost. Last baby born on 3/29/12 and lost at 20 weeks.

    Welcome hugs!  I would find a way to sway your husband into another opinion.  I feel like there is an intricate piece missing to your diagnosis and/or plan of action.  Don't give up!  More hugs!

    I haven't gone through exactly what you have, but I, too, have punished myself for decisions that I made with previous doctors or cycles. It stinks, and it's not fair to ex

    Thank you ALL for your warm & encouraging words. I am a mess...in my heart I just don't feel it's over. The money part of it BITES. After we speak with the RE tomorrow we will (hopefully) have a better plan of action. I am leaning towards a new clinic

    A little late . . . but a hearty welcome nonetheless.
    Married 8/2008. IVF with PGD March 2013.
    3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
    3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
    4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
    PPROM at 31w, delivery at 32 weeks of two beautiful girls

    Welcome, though I'm sorry you have to be here. I agree with the above poster to consider if you are at the right clinic. Find one with a great lab.
