Jacob Perry W. was born at 10:59am on Monday March 11. He weighed in at 8lbs 4 oz.

My labor was fairly straightforward. DH and I went to bed around 9pm on Sunday. After dozing off, I felt a very swift pop in my cervical region, which I thought was LO just kicking/headbutting me really hard. When I sat up, I felt what I knew was my water breaking. Hubs and I went straight to the hospital where I was admitted. After a few hours of contractions, I was determined to be dilating and effacing on schedule. I tried holding off on the epidural as long as possible, but the IV medication wore off before I was allowed to be administered another dose, and the contracts were getting stronger and closer together by that point, so I knew I wouldn't last. At 6cm dilated, I was given a small dose of pitocin to aid in dilation and by 9:30am I was fully dilated and effaced. I began pushing around 10am and by 11am, my precious baby boy was here and in my arms.

I swore nearly 4 years ago that my husband would be the last man who would ever steal my heart. I was so wrong.
