How often do you feed cereal?

My LO has been on cereal in the evenings for 2 weeks now and is really enjoying it. : This week, he just started drinking a lot more bottles during the day and he's constantly hungry! Today, I've barely been able to keep up with him because I exclusively pump. He's 4mo old, so I realize it could be a growth spurt, so how long would you wait before you tried giving him more solids in the day time? TIA :
