if the blind wears sunglasses, why dont the deaf wear earmuffs?

As a deaf person I find this one so freaking funny!

    I'm sure the deaf DO wear earmuffs if they live in Michgian right now.  We have snow on the ground!

    Seriously, I think most blind people wear sunglasses because they might have "wayward" eyes and it is distracting to people speaking to them.  I used to work for a doctor that had one eye that would all of a sudden make a right (or left) turn (if you know what I mean).  It was easy to loose your train of thought because you were watching his eye and I would always forget which one stayed looking at me.  lol  People who are deaf don't have any outward appearance of their disabilty.  My frien'ds sister is deaf and no one would ever know...unless they see her using sign langueage.
