I saw a few of you mentioned that you are getting the PBK chair for a first birthday gift and I love the idea. When I went to the website, however, I saw that many of the reviews say it is just four pieces of foam with a slipcover.
Those that already own one, is it so light weight that you worry about LO tipping it over? Ella is little and is too short to pull up onto our furniture yet and I was hoping this would be helpful for that, but if it so light weight that it will tip over on her I may reconsider..
TIA!
Re: PBK Anywhere Chair
We have one for DS. I bought it for him at 18 months. We are also planning on getting one for DD for her 1st birthday. It is a great gift since everyone else will spoil your child with toys and clothes!
You are right it is only foam and a slipcover. But I think at this age she will be fine. she's not heavy enough to really tip it over unless she tries to crawl over the back of it. But at 1 years old, I wouldn't worry. Now, my 4 year old loves to play rough in it and tip it over but that's another story
I would get her one.
I now have three in my living room. My big boys love their chairs. Ds1's is 3 years old and is hold up very well considering how much he uses it. They are very easy to wash and clean which I love since I have to wash them almost once a week. The size is good to me too. My oldest is 40lbs and 41 inches tall at 3.5 years old and he still fits in the regular one comfortable. Half the time he's lounging in it with his feet over the side. I think they have been worth the $99 we paid for them.
For little ones I put it up against the coffee table (or you could do a wall or anything solid) until they realize how to get in/out of it.

This is me as well! So many cute designs and colors!
Purple is my fav. color too! lol that wouldn't work for DS though!
We are going to get the olive one with a baseball and his name on it! I wanted the olive/brown stripped rugby one but you couldn't personalize it

Aww. I was looking at the red/navy rugby but didn't know you can't personalize those. Now I'll need to look for another. If we get white color stitching for the personalization I wonder if the dark fabric will bleed and change the thread color?
A little late, sorry - DS got one for Xmas and we love it! His is denim with his name on it. He likes to climb on it and so far it hasn't tipped, but its not that high off the ground, so I don't think it'd be too awful if it did. Also, my niece got one for her first birthday and she just turned 5, so it has lasted a long time. She still sits in it to watch tv and I have seen her DAD use it as a backrest when playing video games, so it seems to have multiple uses
