i got the colgate clasica I mattress and it's been perfect. the only thing i would do differently is get the clasica III for longer use.

Check out Secure Beginnings breathable crib mattress. Safest sleep mattress I could find, USA made, don't have to worry about chemicals, etc. My girls sleep great on it and I sleep great knowing they are safe. Costs more but worth it considering how much time babies spend sleeping- way more time than they do in strollers and other things we dishnout $ for.

So far I've been very pleased with our Colgate Classica III. It's lightweight so it's easy to change the crib sheet as well.

We got the Heavenly Dreams mattress and it's been great. I got it because the recommendations said it was lightweight, therefore easy to change the sheets...good if you have any back problems or such. It also a good price, and firm for baby.
