Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Reflux

For those with reflux babies, where do you put your baby after feeding since they are supposed to be upright for 30 minutes?  My DD doesn't like the boppy and I think she's not upright enough in the swing.  So I end up holding her and my arms need a break!

Looking for seat suggestions or what you do with your reflux LO after eating.

thanks!

Re: Reflux

  • Baby Bjorn babysitter chair has been awesome for reflux and just in general. Although I would love to hold her for hours, with 2 kids, its not always practical to hold the baby that long after feeding her. You can get a toy bar attachment to give the baby some entertainment as well. Its expensive but it will last a long time and is good quality and could always be resold on craisglist or something later so I thought it was worth it.

  • High chair or extersaucer
  • I either hold DS or put him in his bumbo.

So funny bc after I posted this I was looking online and saw this chair and thought it would be perfect.  I just ordered it on Amazon!  Bjorn Babysitter Balance Air.  Can't wait to get it and DD better like it LOL!

Thanks I have a bumbo but she's still not able to hold her head too well, so she faceplants a lot :-)

    How old is she?
If it's just because your arms are tired and she doesn't up well you could sit on the couch and prop her up next to you
  • I use the moby wrap and wear her sometimes. That way I can get stuff done
  • My LO has reflux also and even sitting up for a long time doesn't always help, however, I bought him this chair and he LOVES it! It has helped him so much with reaching out and grabbing for toys. After I feed him, I usually hold him upright in my lap and talk, or face out sitting and read, and then I put him in the chair and let him discover how to play. Even though he still spits up, we love the chair. I was looking to buy a Bumbo seat, but then saw this and thought it sounded way better and it was a few bucks cheaper!
