stationary walker vs moving walker

I have a stationary walker. Should I still buy a moving walker. At what ages do they use each one? Thanks

Re: stationary walker vs moving walker

  • What's a stationary walker?  Walkers aren't really recommended because they aren't great for your baby's hip alignment and lower back.

  • That's interesting. The stationary walker looks like a walker with alot of toys all around. It doesnt have wheels so they can't move in it. Look up exersaucer. My son loves it!

  • Oh, exersaucer.  Yeah, we had one but he didn't like it.

  • Wow. I just read several articles recommending not to use walkers! They are dangerous and actually hinder the baby's growth. Thanks for the advice.

  • I've had several friends recommend push-toys for babies as they get to the cruising age.  Jude actually has a diaper box he uses to "walk" with - it's quite funny!
