Intro (although late)

To make an extremly long story short, I gave birth on January 11 after about 6 hours of such intense pain, I figured if this wasnt labor I would not make it through the real deal, I had to go to the ER. I was only 24 weeks along. I was so scared. They were going to have me deliver Baby A (my water had not broke but I was in active labor) Baby A was right there. I didnt want to labor I felt something was wrong and I had them put me out and do a C-Section, I literally saved all of our lives. My placenta had pulled away from Baby A and had bled into her sack, she was born blue. I was bleeding internally and anemic and Baby B was born small but fine. They got them all breathing again and they have been in the NICU for 8 weeks and 3 days already. I cant even believe it. A girl I met who had twin girls in the same NICU actually told me about this Preemie Board, I have not been on the bump since this all happened. It is so hard to talk to people because everyone always asks "how are the girls?" or "are they home yet?" hmmmmm I wont even say what I am thinking in my head to them. I know everyone means well but it is so hard to relate to anyone. I am tired, broke down and a wreck most days and I have no baby to snuggle or kiss to make me feel better. I know they are truly miracles and my best attempt at being strong is working somewhat, but I am tired.

WOW, that sounds depressing, but I just wanted to introduce myself, I have been reading some posts and realizing so many of my stories are on here already by others! Amazing.

Welcome and congrats on your babies!  I have identical twins too, born at 28 weeks.  The home stretch of NICU is such a tough part of the journey so I'll be wishing you and them good thoughts.

Welcome and congratulations on the birth of your twins!  My daughter was born at 26w2 days and we spent 83 days in the NICU.  This board is a great place for support, and the ladies are really wonderful.
