Omega 3

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the omega 3 vitamins they are taking. My prenatal doesn't have enough in it. I am currently taking some that my aunt gave me, she sells usana vitamins but they are super expensive. I am looking for another one that is safe no mercury obviously. Could you please tell me your brands your using?

Re: Omega 3

  • I take Expecta. Target also sells a generic version of this supplement for a few dollars cheaper.

  • I take the One a Day Women's prenatal vitamins and it comes with mercury free DHA supplement. I used the same ones with my DD and it was a lot more cost efficient and easier to take than what I started out with at Vitamin World. I was having to take five pills a day with those and they made me nauseated.

  • Nordic naturals prenatal dha. I think it's one place where you really do not want to cheap out... Whatever u get make sure they are quality controlled to be free of heavy metals.

  • I take vitabiotics Pregnacare plus. It's the normal prenatal with an additional omega 3 tablet. I should add that I took the plain pregnacare in the first trimester.

This. I haven't had any problems with one a day, I like them.

Thumbs up to the bold. Those are the highest grade, most pure pharmaceutical grade vitamins out there. They are super expensive but the finest money can buy-if they weren't so, that's what I would be on. Our friend is a distributor too. I love that the company makes individual baggies(with your name on it!?) for all your daily vitamins. Grab a pouch and go!

I was taking Spectrum omega-3 fish oil that had EPA and DHA but then switched to Spectrum Prenatal DHA (for preg and nursing moms). It doesn't have fish oil in it. I just got it at amazon and didn't think it was too much-between 16 & 20.  They also have a vegetarian version.

  • I take Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA.  It's a little pricey, but it's high quality.   It's recommended by the American Pregnancy Association.

  • I take Nordic naturals too. I did with DS1 and while breastfeeding. I've been taking them for like 2.5 years now!
