Hello everyone! I am new to this board and 14 weeks along. We do not know what the sex of our baby is yet, but as we have had a firm boy name since we found out I was pregnant my husband and I are trying to come up with a firm girl name just in case!
My husband's family is Lithuanian and we kind of like the idea of picking a name that will go with the family roots so to speak.
What are the feelings on the name Adelyte Roze? (The spelling of Rose with a Z is Lithuanian as well and is not my attempt to "jazz" up the name Lol) It is pronounced Add-el-ite.
Re: Just want an opinion..
Adelaide is cute, probably the reason that I know personally about 20 toddlers named that. I like something a little unique and it sticks with the roots, he actually had a great, great aunt named this. I think it's pretty adorable, the NN Addy Roze would be perfect to go with it I think.
But thank you for your opinion!
I'm sorry, but I strongly dislike it.

I agree with PPs, Adelyte sounds like a mineral/rock.
And I think you are seriously fooling yourself if you think once she starts school that she's not going to be one of 10 Addie's in her grade. Adelyte is so unattractive that people will want to call her something else.
