My first real vent

Tonight was rough. We had to go to Target for a few things and while there C gave us the signs that he needed to go to the bathroom. My DH took him as I am on crutches and a breakdown ensued. He wouldn't stop screaming so customers notified managers. My DH was not forcing anything but trying to use our calm down techniques. No lessthan a total of 3 employees went in to make sure everything was ok. My DH told them all he was special needs having a bresk down but higher managers were still being called over.

This has been a fear of ours for about a year; that people would think we were harming our son in some way because of his epic meltdowns. We left without resolving much with the store and left feeling horrible. Does this get any easier?
