All of a sudden, DS hates baths! 4 mo

He seriously loved them. Never fussed. Splished and splashed around, talked to me, laughed, etc.

The past three nights, he gets in, takes a few looks around, and minutes later, he's screaming. Tonight was crazy, it was so much screaming until he was red in the face and I finally pulled him out and he kept screaming! 

It was the first part of our bedtime routine each night and I'm bummed he isn't digging it anymore. Any ideas what it could be or what I could try to help him work through it?

I wonder if maybe the water is too cold/too hot? Could also be that maybe water got in LO's eyes?

I thought about the water temp and made it a little cooler. Will keep trying different things! I read on another thread to try taking a bath with him, so we will give that a try too.

Maybe try sponge baths again until he's up to getting back in the tub?  If we don't do a full tub bath or sponge bath with soap, we sub in a warm shower without soap.  Just time under the running water and he loves it.  He finds the shower head spraying water absolutely fascinating.

I don't think so, he seems generally happy throughout the rest of the day, no fever. Anything in particular I should look for? I'm a rookie. We were just at the doctor 3/7 and no ear issues noted.
