Newbie - DIA :)

Hi!  I'm new to the board and am in the process of pursuing Domestic Infant Adoption.  MH & I have been trying to start our family for a while now and are excited to be on the adoption path after having TTTC. I posted a bit and lurked a lot on the Bump when we were TTC and am happy that they have this little corner for the adoption community here!

Right now MH & I are finishing up our home study requirements for training and CPR courses this month and then we'll be ready for our portfolio to be shared!  We're pretty excited and are trying to balance that with knowing there could be a loooong wait ahead of us yet.  We're looking to adopt a newborn (0-6) or a sibling group under 3yo. I'm a little intimidated by not being able to really prepare for anything yet (other than reading books) and being in a state of limbo for the foreseeable future.  Without knowing what gender, race, age or how many new little ones we'll be welcoming into our home, I don't really know how to get our house ready!  I've really liked the community on this board so far and hope that I can learn & share with you all here. 

TTC #1 9/11-12/12, 9/12 Dx: Hypothyroid + DOR (AMH .76), IUI #1 & #2 BFN's
1/13 Decided to pursue DIA, 4/13 Home study Approved 9/13 Matched!
10/13 DS home with us! 2/14 TPR completed  5/14 ADOPTION IS FINAL!
3/14 Surprise BFP 11/14 DD is here!

    Moved on to  gestational surrogacy with a family friend who is our angel and due 7/23/15

    Newbie here myself, probably on the DIA route, too, though we are still not 100 sure.
    ***************************** Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    Welcome! I know you said you're doing DIA, but that you are open to 0-6 and a sibling group. Does your agency normally have those situations? Just curious because I think our agency is almost strictly infants. I think they might get the occasional older child but it's rare. Either way, good luck! :)

    Our agency is flexible and will really help out with any type of adoption we're looking to pursue.  They normally facilitate infant adoptions but aren't strictly set for just those situations.  Our social worker said they very rarely will have a young sibling group or twins being placed together for adoption, so it's just a small possibility that could happen.
