Fitbit - so cool!

Just wanted to post that I got a fitbit and I LOVE it! It tracks walking, logged workouts, and going upstairs. It's like a pedometer, but better! Plus it has an app for smartphones. I just wanted to share in case you may like something like that. I ended up getting the fitbit one model.

I was thinking about getting one. Do you wear it when you sleep? Does it ever fall off or does it stay on pretty well?

I haven't been wearing it when I sleep cause I think it would bother me. However, I do keep it on my nightstand and turn the sleep mode on/off when I go to bed and wake up. I do this because the dashboard metrics then take sleep out of the activity equation. Otherwise I look super lazy from 12am - 4am at the start of a new day. So turning sleep mode on/off means my day starts when I wake up.

I had the FitBit Zip and it was a piece of crap... seriously.  It would constantly reset itself throughout the day and the calorie count was WAY off.  One day I had it on from about 5:30 in the morning and after walking 4 flights of stairs to get to my office at 8:30AM it said that I had walked 38 steps (WTF!).  Another day I took a Zumba class and it said that I had burned 480 calories.  My company actually got them for all of us at HQ (12 people total) and the majority of them malfunctioned.  Needless to say, we returned the to the store.

That is crappy! Mine hasn't had those issues (*knock on wood*). I check it after I do a flight of stairs just to see if it is accurate and so far it's working properly.
