DD and milk

So, for literally the last 2 days DD hasn't wanted her milk at all. I've tried putting it in different cups and whatnot and she absolutely won't take it, but she will still take juice. Should I be worried? What should I do?

Re: DD and milk

  • Milk isn't necessary. Just make sure she has lots of calcium rich food thru the day. My youngest doesnt' drink milk at all, only water.   He eats lots of yogurt, cheese and beans for calcium.

  • If I don't give her some juice she gets constipated. Man this is a no win situation lol

It's fine to give her juice if she needs it. I give my DD prune juice daily to help with ongoing constipation issues and do not feel the least bit conflicted about it.

Speaking of constipation, could that be a reason she's refusing milk? I know my DD goes in phases like that when her stomach is bothering her.

  • She shouldn't be constipated and she continues to eat like a garbage disposal and isn't cranky. Idk

  • I wouldn't change the amount of juice you offer her - don't increase it.  Offer water instead.  She doesn't have to drink milk, and DD goes through stages of being more or less willing to drink various typeso f milk.

  • try this:

lightly boil broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes, carrots. Then you blend them with a banana & an apple.

feed generously and your child will poo. my child poos within 2hrs. (It works on adults too. :)  )
