My mom has been suggesting names to me like crazy. This one caught my attention because of the nick name. Apparently somewhere in my family tree there was a Lucille with the nickname of Ceely. I thought it was kind of cute! What do you think, does it work?

I love Lucille, don't hear that as much anymore. I'm not a huge fan of Ceely, though, and prefer Lucy as a NN for it.

I prefer this. I'm biased though as we have a Lucy. I'm not a fan of Ceely.

I absolutely adore the name Lucille! It is on my current list at the moment. I obviously love the name Lucy as a nn but I also don't think Ceely is a "terrible" nn. Infact, I think it's cute. Mainly for a child. It would be a nice nn for family to use on LO.
