PT boy?

DS has been working on pt since end of Dec. we haven't been really pushy. He easily goes first thing in morning and before bath. Never poop. This week he started going pee at daycare and has been dry for 2 days yeah! Ques is do I move to underwear now or pull ups? He freaks with both. Do i just keep the diaper on and be happy that its dry? I don't mind this taking longer, I just want him to have a healthy outlook on potty!

I'd go just underwear.  We made a big deal of picking them.  We use a pull up for nap and a diaper for bed bc ds isn't dry during sleep yet.  I found after accidents ds wants to go back to diapers but we explain he has to keep trying.  It has worked well for us.

Yay! Potty training success is exciting. We went from diapers to underwear and let DS choose. We only used pullups for naps or lengthy outings when we were afraid we wouldn't make it to a restroom fast enough.

We went right to underwear, except for overnight.  At the very beginning, there were several accidents, but at this point in DS life, cleaning up pee is like "Whatever!"  No big deal.  I think he disliked the feeling of pee on him enough that it made him get potty trained a lot more quickly.  We've been at it for two months now, and he hasn't had an accident in two weeks. We also made a big deal out of picking out his big boy underpants.
