39 week induction

My midwife wants to induce me at 39 weeks due to blood pressure issues among other things. I'm not dialated or effaced at all at this point, baby was measuring 5lbs. 10oz. at 35 week scan, so they guess he should be about 8lbs at 39 weeks. I was induced with DS, for the same reasons, but I think I wasggggg progressed a lot more ahead of time. I know I still have 2 weeks to progress further, but I came very close to needing a csection last time after 28 hours of labor, so I'm just really nervous that things will go worse this time. Midwife isn't concerned since I already had one successful 39 week induction, she also has me on EPO to try to soften things up before hand.

So is anyone else getting or has already gotten a 39 week induction? What's your story?

I have been induced with both of my pregnancies.

With the first, it was at 36 weeks (due to medical reasons) and I was 0 cm and 0% effaced.. 18 hour labor and 1 1/2 hour of pushing but a healthy baby boy.

I was induced Tuesday (39 weeks 4 days) and it was elective.  I was 2 cm and 70%.  I think I was already in early labor as I was having contractions, just not  regular or very strong.  Once they started the pitocin they took off and never had to up the dose.  9 hour labor and 15 minutes of pushing and another healthy baby boy!

Haven't made "official plans", I think OB is still hoping I'll go into labor spontaneously before my next appointment, but on Tuesday (38+2), we'll probably be discussing induction at 39 weeks. I was just past 1cm and basically not effaced at all at my last appointment (37+2)

Our biggest concern is size paired (consistently measuring weeks ahead for awhile now) combined with the VBAC, etc. I had both my girls early, so if I make it to 39 weeks, I'll be surprised, but it's nice having an end date in sight.

I was induced last time with my 3rd at 39 weeks 4 days because of high bpand it was really easy.  4 hours of labor and one push.  A dream birth really!    I am being induced this time at 39 weeks 1 day due to high amniotic fluid levels.  Looking forward to knowing when and where it will all take place since I have the 3 other kiddos to worry about.

That is the one part I'm really excited about. I was really worried about not being able to have somebody get here in time for us to get to the hospital. So it's nice I get to preplan having my dad here to be with our older 3 kids while we go.
