I'm kind of at my wits end and am wondering what others would do in this situation. My mother is a chain smoker. I'm late to this, but I hope everything works out for you. You've been given some great advice. I have some issues with my mother. I love her, but I really don't like her as a person. It is hard, but you do have to realize that people usually don't change drastically. The best thing is to set boundaries and adjust your expectations to protect yourself and your family.
