End in sight!!!

So I had my 38 week appointment yesterday and I had an internal done. No progress but babies head is nice and low so my MW was happy about that. Then she started feeling my stomach just to see the position of the baby and said that we needed another ultrasound just to see how big baby is. I know these can be off but she said from her feeling around baby is at least 8lbs. So we have an ultrasound next Thursday, and have an induction date set for the 18th which is the day after my due date. I'm just happy baby is doing good and growing like a champ and that we have an end in sight because this last 2 weeks have been killing me!! Plus I just want to hold my baby already!

I'm right there with you! I also had my 38 week appointment yesterday which included a growth/positioning ultrasound. Baby is head down and measuring 39w5d...8lbs14oz. I know a lot of moms on here say that the ultrasound can be +/- 2 lbs in either direction but my u/s tech said her measurements are always bang on (based on what a delivery nurse who also works at the clinic has told her). So...I'm also gearing up to deliver a large babe. If I haven't delivered on my own in the next two weeks, we will be talking induction. I have to admit that I was a bit freaked out about his size but I'm really glad to hear that he is in the right position and is still doing super well. I feel a lot more relaxed now.
