Absolutely. DH says that I care more about animals than I do about most human beings.

He tries to say that he is not, but he definitely is. He was the one to push for our new dogs after our other dogs died.

Yes. Two dogs. Both rescued!
Did you have any pets while you were growing up?
I had two cats at my mom's house and for a little bit I had rabbits at my dad's house. But the rabbits kept getting out and mating and when we had too many, we sent them to a farm (literally not figuratively, LOL).

Did you have any pets while you were growing up? I grew uo with tons of dogs , cats, and I had hampsters, mice and different birds. We had a zoo !!!

DH has a 2 yr. old black lab...then we adopted a border collie mix who is also 2 years old...then last year on our honeymoon we went to Turks and Caicos and came home with a potcake puppy (her picture is my avatar)...we are OBSESSED with all three. They are a little pack and play together all day long..it's really cute.
Did you have any pets while you were growing up? we ALWAYS had a dog or a cat or a gerbil or a lizard at one point or another.

Very much so. I love all animals except for birds. They scare the hell out of me.

We have a 4 year old Golden Retriever named Granger (DH is a huge Indiana Pacers fan and his favorite player is Danny Granger)
Did you have any pets while you were growing up?
We had a cat till I was 13 then my parents got a Pomeranian and then found a cat. I always wanted a Golden. Took me 8 years and giving up before DH finally said we could get a Golden. Now he says we'll always have at least 1 Golden.

Yes! I love animals. I used to have cats but my stepson is allergic so now we have a spoiled and crazy little dog (maltese).
Is your SO an animal person?
Absolutely, and animals really love him. I think they can sense what a good person he is..no matter where we go, if there's an animal there it will be all over dh. lol
Do you have any pets? Yes, our crazy maltese named Gia.
Did you have any pets while you were growing up? Yes, I had a black lab/rot mix named Barclay and a yellow lab named Winston who I loved SO MUCH. Then we had a bird (parakeet) named Pepe and a goldfish named Sally.

We spent our honeymoon in Turks & Caicos as well! Isn't it absoultely gorgeous? Anyway, there was a random dog that would not leave my side the whole time we were there. He just hung out with me while I was on my lounge chair, I wanted to take him home but dh wouldn't let me. Here he is:

I am a dog lover and honestly used to be terrified of dogs as a kid. Cats still scare me haha.

Yes, we recently adopted a terrier mix who we absolutely adore!

Yes I grew up with a small dog and my parents still have him. He is 18 years old and still going strong.

haha...that is hilarious!!! we saw dogs EVERYWHERE and just went to potcake place just to "look" and then fell in love...she is the sweetest dog ever though.

Is your SO an animal person? He likes dogs, too, but is really allergic to cats.
Do you have any pets? We don't. We've almost gotten a dog a few different times, but our current house isn't the best for them, and we're both out of the house 10+ hours a day when we work, so it wouldn't be fair to the dog. One day, though!
Did you have any pets while you were growing up? I had a westie growing up. She was a great dog and definitely spoiled me - she was so low maintenance and easy going.
We stopped in there and loved it! We're going back this summer but staying at Beaches because we're brining the whole fam (I have three step kids in addition to my ds). I can't wait though. It's so beautiful.

Do you have any pets? Not right now. One day we will, but we have no land and are not at home very often.

so jealous. we were within walking distance of beaches...if you didn't go last time walk down the beach and eat at caf? somewhere. it was one of our favorites and it is right down from beaches.

We have a freshwater tank and working on our 2nd saltwater tank, 2 leopard gekkos, 3 hamsters, 5 guineas and 2 bunnies. (We kinda went pet crazy after losing Bri.)

We had a dog when I was a toddler named Mandy. I remember she had puppies and they were so white! She was lighter brown fur. We also had slews of finches (birds) growing up, and one of my aunts gave us cockatials (?).

Did you have any pets while you were growing up?When I was in elementary school my mom had like 9 cats outside and we always had at least one dog until I was in 5th grade and we moved to FL but we got dogs again when we settled in KY when I was 15.

Yes. His family always had dogs growing up, and animals seem to like him.

Two cats. I love them but once they're gone, I don't think we'll get any more pets.

We had lovebirds for a long time (15 years, maybe?) and I had a few bunnies. We also had a guinea pig but he didn't live too long. My parents never let us have dogs or cats.

Is your SO an animal person? Not really. He's OK with dogs, but that's about it.
Do you have any pets? Not right now, no. Once we move, we'll get a dog. And DS keeps asking for fish, so I might get him some for his 5th birthday at the end of the year.
Did you have any pets while you were growing up? Our parents got our first dog when I was 14 [she's still alive and just turned 13]. Then we adopted another dog in 2007 who will be 6 in the fall. We also had stints of hamsters, fish and tarantulas.
DH and I just got back from a week in Turks and Caicos today! I am so jealous that you came home with a potcake puppy. We stayed on a tiny island that didn't have many people or dogs, but we did make friends with one adorable potcake semi-stray. She was adorable.

Do you have any pets? No, although we've talked about getting a dog sometime this year. Although I would love to have a dog, I'm a little unsure if this is a good time for us to get one. I also don't want to feel like we're getting one to replace a baby.
