Thing about Iowa?
Just moved back and I love it here. Love the downtown scene and the people are the nicest. Keep Iowa polite

I am not expecting, but I do have a child in Iowa.  I would say 15-24 weeks are the best during pregnancy.  That's at least before I had a very uncomfortably placed frank-breech baby. 

Cupcakes are the best.  Try some Scratch Cupcakery cupcakes, if you haven't already.  I guess I don't know where you're located, but I assume it isn't anywhere near me.

I've seen Tosh live. He was pretty fantastic.  I have also seen a large variety of other stand up comedians.  The best life was probably Gaffigan or Carlin.

Do you like Arrested Development?  Because I'm really excited for the new season to be released on Netflix.

Iowa has some amazing people, really.

We live in Clive so Des Moines and I will definitely be hitting up scratch soon. I am 15 weeks pregnant with our first and so excited. We watched arrested development the first season and then it seemed like the network was trying to kill it but I really liked the show.

My inlaws live in Johnston. They came down today with Scratch in hand. Eating a cupcake was well worth the time on the threadmill tomorrow. Congratulations on your first! My DD is our first together, but I also have a SD. They're a lot of work but amazing, these kiddos.

Dessert? Does anything containing sugar count? The Peanut Butter Cup cupcake from Scratch is AMAZING, as are all of their cupcakes. Luckily I live around the CF/Waterloo area so I get to partake when the urge hits.


Comedian? Jeff Dunham, I actually find several comedians to be pretty good.


Current TV show?  The Following, Revenge, and The Vampire Diaries


Thing about Iowa? While we all have our moments I've found that people from Iowa seem to be very friendly towards others.

Welcome back, Sarah!  I had Scratch just a moment ago.  My IL's brought some down from Des Moines.  It was a chocolate chip toffee cupcake, which was AMAZING!  The monster cookie one was the best I tried, though. 

I need to recruit my Iowa bumpies from all over to come in here...

Current TV show? I'm watching the Amazing Race on CBS now. I'm also rewatching Scrubs and Dawson's Creek on Netflix.

Thing about Iowa? This is probably an unpopular opinion today, but I actually love the weather here. We get to see all four distinct seasons. I'd be sad if I ever had to spend a Christmas without some snow!

Ooo I haven't tried the Monster Cookie yet! That sounds delicious. I've been trying to avoid them until baby gets here and use it as motivation to get rid of the baby weight

My DH is in love with Colbert.  He's the best pundit out there.

I like the change in seasons, too.  I've grown a little tired of this winter, though.  Mainly because I'm a SAHM, and sitting inside all day gets a little redundant.

Dessert? I'm not a huge dessert person. I'll eat chips and salsa all day long if you let me though.
