large unexplained bruise on upper back?

My 16 month old woke up this morning with a large bruise between her shoulder blades, it starts just above her shoulder blades and goes half way down her back. I have no clue how she got this, and I know it wasnt there when I put her to bed. The only thing I can think of is her carseat. She throws a fit the whole time she is in the car and thrashes around like crazy. Still I dont see how she could bruise herself in the carseat.

I do need to add that I not saying the bruise covers the whole half of her upper back, its more like a few smaller bruises close togather. (if that makes sence)

Was she in a shopping cart yesterday?

she was in a shoping cart and she did have tons of tantrums where she threw herself all over the place. Strange thing is, the bruiseis now gone

That's really weird.  For a bruise that covered half of her back I would definitely put a call in to the doctor just to mention it, even if it is gone now.
