bum genius wannabe?

I used bum genius pockets with my first and loved them. I tried fuzzibunz and they didn't fit right at all. The rise seemed way too short. I was just wondering if anyone out there has found any pockets that are comparable to bum genius with a cheaper price tag. I was looking at the Alva diapers, but I don't know what suede cloth is and the fact that they have had some bad reviews as far as customer service goes on some websites makes me nervous. Any suggestions?

I haven't used Alva, but I can tell you that BG pockets are also lined with suedecloth so that should give you and idea of what the material on the inside of Alvas would be like.

I've seen people on here give good reviews for Alva, and also for Kawaii which is another inexpensive brand. (I have tried Kawaii, and didn't like them but I seem to be in the minority where that brand is concerned)

I really like Alva's customer service. They sent me a defective insert and when I told them they express shipped me a new one. Also, I was having problems with their website recently and I emailed them my frustrations and they apologized and said they were sending me a gift in my order. Yay

I really like Diaper Safari. They have sales all the time. All the time. I love that there is a front and back opening, so the insert agitates out in the wash.

I like my Kawaii pocket. I would not say that it was the same as BG, and I do like my BG a bit more, but the Kawaii is pretty good IMO.

Baby Wizards are very comparable to BG 4.0s, but I believe they are only available through co ops.

I primarily use bumgenius, I bought an Alva to try it (bought from superstash.net) the Alva works fine, I like the bumgenius better, but you can't beat the price of the Alva.  Also, it was not huge, it is actually smaller than my bumgenius, I'm not sure what type of Alva I bought, but it is a one size and snaps.  It is more difficult to stuff than a bg, and the inserts are harder to get out, but like I said, you can't beat the price!
