Couscous is really easy to cook. I think it's one part water to one part couscous, i.e. a cup to a cup, but check the label. But you basically boil water, add couscous, wait 5 minutes and eat!
We eat it with everything, but DH usually makes it with a vegetable stew or else a shrimp and roasted chickpea dish.

We buy Near East Couscous in a box (we buy just one box usually $2-$3 piece as opposed to the link for 12 boxed. Just wanted to give you a reference). It's already preseasoned/etc and as simple as boil water, mix in the couscous and let it set, off the heat. That way if you just want to taste test it to try it, it's easy and the "hard work" is already done for you in the flavor department. That way if you don't like it you haven't invested too much time into it. Enjoy!

I love couscous - it's one of my favorite starches!
I recommend cooking it with chicken broth instead of water for a little more flavor. I like to stir something sweet and something savory into it - like melted leeks and thyme, or raisins and feta.
This week it's on our menu twice - first with a chickpea and cauliflower stew, and then again as a cold salad with chicken.
