What if I don't have sound on my work 'puter and the only 1D song I've ever heard is "What Makes You Beautiful" and I always think at the beginning about it needing more cowbell?

Can this smile challenge be a silent one and yet still successful?

I'm going to say you need the sound for full-blown feels.  I think the visuals alone are definitely smile-worthy, but this video seriously could convert you to a Directioner and I wouldn't want you to be cheated of that experience.
