Yes... I have goat child. lol. For some reason my kid likes to snack on books. I understood it more when she was a little younger because everything went into her mouth while she is teething. However, not everything goes into her little mouth anymore. Other than food it's books. We have several board books that she has bitten chunks out of right along the side and when you open the book there is a bog hole in the middle. Sometimes it's a little funny opening a book and seeing a hole but I can't figure out how to stop her.
We've put away the books and she only gets to look at books with someone but I don't like doing that. I want her to be able to look at her books in her room and whenever she wants and whichever book she wants. We've told her no, popped hands, tried time out, just said "books are for reading. If you want a snack come get mommy or daddy." Nothing has worked. I guess it's just fun to her. So what kind of things would you suggest or if you have had this happen what have you done? Thanks in advance. ![]()
Re: My toddler eats books. Any tips?
This might be awful but could you maybe spray something on the pages that's really bitter?? I don't know what it would be but it makes me think of when i put aloe Vera leaf juice on my nails to remind me not to bite them.
