Pregnancy Groups??

Hey ladies, I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I am a first time mommy-to-be. I was wondering what classes/groups there are around downtown Atlanta, to help with soon to be new moms and dads.

I really am trying to also find some mommy-to-be groups to get to know other women and make some friends who are on the same page as I am. Most of my friends are still in there party stage and I have become a little of an outcast since I became pregnant, No one wants to drink or change their plans because of a prego lady. lol.

:)

Re: Pregnancy Groups??

  • I have been here for almost 3 years but wld be curious to see if or where there are any groups. We moved from Chicago. I am 14 weeks now.
  • i would look at pregnancy yoga or exercise classes, as well as any pregnancy classes through your hospital to meet other moms to be. also meetup.com is an option. i think though you will find it easier to find mom groups after the kiddo is here, at least in my experience...

I moved her about 5 years ago, from Indiana. I know there are groups around here, I guess I am just not looking hard enough. I don't want to join just my hospital groups though.

  • Agreed... I wld love to do a pregnancy yoga class but with my work hours its hard to find a time that fits. Hopin it warms up here soon so I can get outside to walk!
  • I'm in the same boat, and I'd love to find something simliar. Let me know if you find anything!

Try meetup.com. They have a group for pregnant and  new mommies (of children age 1 and under) and they all get together. I haven't been to any yet but I joined it awhile back. See how you like it. Meetup.com is going to be your best resource to find stuff like that around the area.

    Good luck.  :)
