Nursery Themes, am I the only one?

So I have to ask, am I the only one who actually likes super themed baby like nurseries?

I know normally when people are talking about themes here, they tend to say they do not really like the whole theme, matchy match, "traditional" baby themed nurseries. And I can admit some of your pics are adorable, but I just wonder I am truly the only one wondering how much cathy heck little pond items I can fit in one room?

I did with DD1's room--pink and green with birds/trees/owls.  I love her room.

DD2's room is more just a color theme.

Our LO has a light green and pale yellow nursery with blue and brown accents and Jungle Animals all over it.  He has the No Jo Jungle Babies bedding, lots of stuffed jungle animals to accent, a mural on one wall of a huge tree with a monkey and birds in it, and an elephant on the other wall. We also bought some baby jungle animals prints from Etsy, and I got some wooden animals and letters at Micheal's (craft store) to make his name and we hung all of that over the changing table.  He LOVES talking to his animals every time he is on the changing table.  And I know when he gets a little older, he is going to love the mural on the wall too.  There is also a sign on his door that says "Welcome to the Jungle"--I think that's my favorite part.  As another poster said, they are only little once.

Yah I am happy to hear I am not the only one.

I love the cathy heck little pond collection, I have a couple of the crib comforters, the head board bumper, bumper pads, tons of crib sheets, 3 lamps, a musical mobile, wall art, night light, fleece blankets, receiving blankets, a home made comforter, curtains, a diaper stacker, crib skirt 

and then I have other pieces that kind of match

elephant shaped humidifier 

 and toys

 

I am so excited, I can't wait to start the nursery. I want to do it in cream with lavender strips half way up. I am hoping to tear apart all the bumper pads I have to make a cloth wall paper boarder to go around the middle as I cannot find the cathy heck boarder I want.

The walls are green and we have dark hardwood floors and white trim and a white crib and changer. We also have a deep purple rug in the middle of the room. I'm all antsy to decorate, but my husband had to re-drywall the closet in there so I have to wait until he's done.

I've already decided what I would like to do for the nursery. The theme will be the night sky, with stars and moons. I'd like to do the colors in blues and purples and silver. I'd like to get those glow in the dark stars for the ceiling. Also, I am starting an origami project soon. I'm going to fold up a ton of lucky stars and put them in a decorative jar. I'd like to write little things on some of the strips of paper, like hopes I have for the baby. I've already purchased the paper. I can't wait to start.

I am  costume and scenic designer. We aren't using a stock theme, but it will cover the nursery: Disney's "It's a Small World"...
