have any of you adopted without any info on BF? what has been your experiences? It doesnt seem to bother us but are curious if we would be missing something...thanks!
We adopted internationally, where this is more common. For M, we have a possible BF name and the possibility that he may have been in the military, although we aren't even sure it's the correct name. For J, we have no information about any family members, as he was abandoned at birth.
Lurker, but this is taken from my adopted FI's experience:
Medical history would be nice to know even tho it will always be a missing part of his life (and our children's).
FI was the ''black sheep'' even prior to finding out he was adopted (he was 13 when he was properly told and has since had a few falling outs with his adoptive family). After he turned 18 he met his BM and her family and have since gotten along so well; they looked alike, laughed alike, and loved alike. It has made FI wish to pursue his BF's family to see if they would be as accepting and loving as BM's family and also to compare similarities (cooking/music/etc) that aren't apparently from BM/adoptive families.
"What are you having?" "Well the radiologist says its a healthy little human baby. I'm a little disappointed, because I really wanted a puppy." LOL
